Mahogany Salt box (Rounded)

£140.00
Sold Out

Now this is a treat: a box made in real mahogany. A commercially unavailable timber due to over-harvesting in the last century (with the exception of some species that look a bit different), the wood in these boxes lived a long life as part of the interior in a bank on the south coast of Cornwall. And now they’ll be repurposed as kitchen utilities for the next chapter! This model has a slight, 3mm round of corners and edges, making a little softer on the eye and hand.

The box comes with a brass hinge mechanism and a base of rippled Sycamore (so there’s at least something pretty to look at when you run out of salt). This piece features an overhanging lid, allowing for effortless one-handed opening and closing—perfectly suited to the demands of busy hands in the kitchen.

Size: 140 mm x 130 mm x 90 mm
Weight: 0.5kg
