About me

After more than two decades spent working at the crossroads between technology and entertainment, with companies such as Sony and Apple, I made the decision to pursue an exciting second career as a furniture designer-maker. Following the completion of my training at Rowden Atelier, I chose to remain in the picturesque South West of the UK—leaving my previous life in places like Stockholm, London and Tokyo behind to establish my workshop in the town of Bude on the north Cornwall coast.

The term “designer-maker” stems back to the English Arts and Crafts movement at the turn of the last century, and has endured as a counterpoint to mass production. For me it means striving to combine creativity and craftsmanship to design and create functional, beautiful objects—by hand and in a small-scale. Unlike larger production environments, I oversee the entire process from concept and material selection to fabrication and finishing, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail throughout. This holistic approach allows for innovation, personalisation, and the creation of unique, thoughtful pieces that reflect both my expertise and the client’s vision.
